Esitu Solutions Founder Receives Innovate UK'S Women in Innovation Award

Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, launched Women in Innovation in 2016, with the aim of addressing the gender imbalance in the applications for their support. According to their research, only 1 in 7 applications came from women, highlighting a significant gap in the representation of women in business innovation.

This disparity is not just a matter of gender equality, but also has a significant impact on the economy. It is estimated that if women started and scaled new businesses at the same rate as men, an additional £250 billion could be added to the UK economy.

Since its launch, Women in Innovation has invested £7.6 million in over 160 women-led businesses and has created a thriving community of over 9,500 business leaders, ambassadors, and allies. The programme aims to empower women to develop commercially successful solutions to major social, environmental, and economic challenges.

The Women in Innovation programme is part of Innovate UK’s commitment to promoting greater diversity and inclusion in business innovation, and serves as a valuable initiative in addressing the gender imbalance in the UK’s business landscape.

This year, out of more than 900 applications, Esitu Solutions was one of the 50 businesses selected for  this prestigious award. The award will enable us to further develop our virtual reality training materials, contributing to our company’s mission of promoting safer and more efficient driving practices through effective assessment and training.
